milred, I grew up next door to you on 1714 madison street. I remember your mom and dad and brother. it was so many years ago . you were a small baby girl that your Mom would put you out in gate in the front of the house. I was about 19 years older than you as I recall. Do you remember John Lynch and Eric Gehm both of whom lived across the street from us. John and 'Eric and Tony Peralta were pals of mine. There was a girl in Johns house named Clair Mulligan, she also had a brother whose name I no longer remember. I am now 82 years old but I still remember Madison Street like it wasl yesterday. If you want to get in touch with me for any reason,My e-mail is fjl@tampabay.rr.com.

Spolini's Restaurant

Very good food. Friendly with good service. I've tried many of the Pasta Dishes, all good, but their Clam Sauce is THE BEST, also like their Romano with Penne. They serve bruschetta complimentary first, by the way their bread is awesome. One of my favorite dishes is the Ossobucca - very good. And I always have lunch for the next day when I go there, nice portions.

Venezia Ristorante

Our experience at Venezia made our wonderful anniversary date even better! We happened to walk in on their opening day, and lucky me Italian cuisine is my favorite! I was so happy to see that the place has finally found its identity. These guys really know what they're doing! It almost felt like it had been there forever. Everything fell perfectly into place: gorgeous setting, delicious food and prompt service. The patio is surrounded by beautiful trees and red tulips, it took me back to one of our Mediterranean vacations. Their salads are artfully presented and perfectly dressed, you can tell they use the best and the freshest ingredients. I loved my Mozzarella Tomato salad. The entrees are flavorful and generous, we both had pasta. Overall you can tell they put in a little extra effort than the rest. I don't know if it was also the spring sun warming our cheeks, the light breeze...but our experience at Venezia was flawless, and I wish them lots and lots of anniversaries.

Parkside

I have eaten at the Parkside perhaps 10 times. I always order as my main dish the clams and red sauce. There is plenty of garlic, the sausce is perfect and there is always enough tasty pasta to please me. I love the bread, especially the one with the meat pieces that is served as soon as I sit down. The food has met or exceeded my expectations during every meal except for on Thanksgiving when the service was awful as was the menu. Now, saying all this don't expect the greatest service because you ain't going to get it. If you are used to getting your instant gratification for food from a buffet be prepared to be patient for your service.
