So I Can Play at Arthur Ashe Stadium?!
Sadly, no. You can't play at Arthur Ashe unless you turn pro. The public is not allowed to play tennis in Arthur Ashe or the other stadiums. You can play at one of the field courts, which are used in the US Open Tennis Tournament (and are blue just like on TV).
What About the New Indoor Tennis Building?
The USTA is building a world-class indoor facility. It will have 12 indoor tennis courts, a fitness center, a full-service Pro Shop, and the US Open Gallery. The new facility replaces earlier indoor tennis courts that were home to the USTA National Indoors Open Championships held every December.
In the winter of 2008, several outdoor courts have been covered in temporary bubble structures to accommodate cold-weather play during construction of the new facility.
