MulchFest at NYC Parks - January 7 and 8, 2012 Bring your Christmas tree to a participating park and get it chopped to bits. NYC Parks will mulch your tree and give you a bag of mulch to use in your garden. There are 11 sites in Queens. In addition, this year you can bring a tree to a drop-off site January 2-8.

There Will Be Videodrome Coming Out of Your TeeVee

David Cronenberg Series at Moving Image Museum - January 21-February 12, 2012
  • The many twisted movies of David Cronenberg are the subject at the Moving Image Museum this January. He brought us such sci-fi-horror as Dead Ringers and Videodrome, plus The Fly and Crash. Getting twisted in your seats like a perfect way to while away a winter evening in Astoria.
