Wood Memorial at Aqueduct Racetrack - April 5, 2008- The biggest race at Aqueduct is named for Eugene D. Wood, a founder of the long-lost Jamaica racetrack. It's on the road to the Triple Crown for three-year-olds, and a fine afternoon if the early spring sun is out in South Ozone Park.

In Jamaica Center it's "From the Foothills to the Tracks," from the colonial past to the recent redevelopments and link to JFK. The same weekend it's "Long Island City's Shifting Center" delving into the waterways and transportation that made LIC an industrial hub. And in Flushing, it's a celebration of the 350th Anniversary of the Flushing Remonstrance, exploring local houses of worship that represent every major world religion.
