On April 5, 2008, the CYO Girls Olympics -- which consists of 19 teams in the greater NYC area -- were held at the Aquatic Center in Eisenhower Park . The TRI-M Girls Swim Team won five gold, three silver, and four bronze medals. Bantams Christine Codd, Kylie Chow, Monica Stefandl, and Olivia Santos won the 4x100 yard freestyle relay, setting a new meet record. Keara Leong won 50 yard butterfly also setting a new record.
The next day, April 6, 2008, the TRI-M Girls Swim Team returned to Eisenhower Park for the Diocesan Championship. They came with a perfect dual meet record of nine wins and no losses, and also took the Championships, for their sixth consecutive title, with a score of 455 points, followed by St. Sebastian with a score 385 points.
TRI-M represents Our Lady of Mercy and Our Lady of Queen of Martyrs, all from Forest Hills. Head Coach: Mary Leong. Assistant Coaches: Alex Leong, Melissa Santos, Carolyn McNulty, and Amy Martinez.
