Baruir's Coffee should be a landmark on any coffee aficionado's map of New York City. A coffee roaster and Armenian market, Baruir's serves coffee, but isn't a coffee shop for hanging out.
Highly recommended is the splendid iced coffee. It's cooled with ice cubes made of coffee, and that means no diluting, just coffee taste. When the chocolate-covered coffee beans are in stock, it's best to pick up a pack or two.
Baruir's has roasted its own coffee for over 40 years, since opening in 1966, and is run by the Nersesian family.
