Rockaway Skate Park
The Rockaway Skate Park, run by the NYC Parks Department, opened in 2004. It is open from mid-March to Veteran's Day in November, and closed for the winter. See the parks website for hours, or call 718-318-4000. Skaters must wear helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, and if under 18, wrist guards. Bring the waiver form found on the parks website. The skate park includes 10 ramps and four grinding rails.

- Shore Front Parkway at Beach 91st St, Rockaways, NY. Right off boardwalk. map
- By Car: From Cross Bay Blvd south, take the Cross Bay Bridge to the Rockaways and turn left onto Shore Front Parkway. Look for parking near 91st Street (3 blocks).
- Subway: A subway to Broad Channel. Transfer to S train, one stop to Beach 90/Holland St.
Forest Park Skate Park
The small skate park at Forest Park opened in 2003. It was the first skate park in Queens. The park is open from mid-June to late September. Same rules as at the Rockaway Skate Park apply in regards to pads, guards, and waiver forms. See the NYC Parks website for more details. Equipment includes: launch ramp, grinding rail, quarter pipe, table top, wedge, and grinding ledge.
