Joe's Mets Dugout

My name is Joe Monte and I'm the author of Joe's Dugout. I grew up in Queens playing baseball for the Astoria Silksox for 12 seasons and Bryant High School. As an adult, I coached 15 seasons for the Bayside Little League.

I became a Mets fan when my Dad took me to see a game at the Polo Grounds back in 1962. I haven't regretted a moment since that initial season and hope to share my thoughts about the Mets with you through Joe's Mets Dugout.
