Hot Bialys in Forest Hills doesn't have a bagel name, but its reputation is stellar for delicious bagels with crisp exteriors and chewy interiors. It's right down the block from the Kew Gardens Courthouse, so if you're on jury duty, grab a bagel for your morning waiting. Hot Bialys is close to the E and F trains at Union Turnpike, and not a bad walk from tranquil Forest Hills Gardens. (Their bialys are nothing to name a place over.)

The only problem with Bagel Oasis is location. It's on Horace Harding out near the 188th Street mall, in the land of no subways. So drive. You won't be the only one getting off the LIE at exit 25 (Utopia Parkway). The Oasis is on the southern side of the LIE at 183rd Street.
