The categories for 2012 are:- Best Restaurant in Queens
- Best Drinks in Queens (bar, lounge, cafe, coffee bar, cocktail, you drink it, you name it)
- Best Arts / Music / Theater / Museum / Culture in Queens
- Best New Thing / Place in Queens. This can be almost anything as long as it has opened up since January 2011 and before the end of January 2012. This category can include a building, a business, a website, a store, a person, a politician, a product, a restaurant, a bar, a band, a club ...as long as it's new and as long as it's in Queens, New York.

For 2012, the Best of Queens, Readers Choice Awards, nominations have closed.
Starting on January 18, you found the nomination form linked from this page. There was an announcement in the free, weekly email newsletter. Sign up to stay in the loop. You will also find announcements on Facebook, Twitter, and blog.
The nomination period ended on February 15, 2012. The last day to nominate someone or something for Best of Queens 2012, Readers Choice Awards, was Wednesday, February 15. No exceptions.
Not all nominees will go on to the voting round.
How do I vote for Best of Queens Readers Choice Awards?
Voting starts on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. You will find a link on this page to the online voting place. There will also be an announcement in the free, weekly email newsletter. Sign up to stay in the loop.
Voting closes on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. There will be no exceptions. Winners will be announced on Friday, March 30. Of course, there will be an announcement in the newsletter, blog, and social media.
