About Arthur Ashe

A statue of Arthur Ashe in mid-swing is a centerpiece at the US Open's grounds. He was the first African American man to win a Grand Slam title and to be ranked the number one tennis player in the world. Ashe was also an outspoken advocate of social justice. He co-founded the National Junior Tennis League, which is the beneficiary of some proceeds from Arthur Ashe Kids Day. Arthur Ashe's quotes are pretty memorable too.
