Queens Eats - Thursday Restaurant Roundup

- Where Playing With Fire Is Not Taboo [NY Times]
It's two stars from the Times for my fave Spicy & Tasty (39-07 Prince St, Flushing) where the Sichuan peppercorns tickle your tongue and a cucumber (and beer) chaser is "deliriously sweet relief."
- TODO: Pig Sandwiches at Despaña [Gawker] (via Jackson Heights NYC)
Even Gawker loves Despaña (86-17 Northern Blvd, Jackson Heights) for jamon iberico, though they may not know it's in Queens. And the Roving Gourmet's visit is still the best sell of the place.
- Neilochka from the Block [Citizen of the Month]
Home for the holidays, the Citizen of the Month revisits Flushing and his favorite pizza in the world at Valentino’s (7147 Kissena Blvd, Flushing).
- New "Burmese Cafe" in Jackson Heights [Chowhound]
Chowhounds break the news of a Burmese restaurant opening. It's the simply named Burmese Cafe (Roosevelt Ave at 72nd St, south side, Jackson Heights), bringing a new taste to a neighborhood of a thousand lands.
- And also over at Chowhound, there's pining for veggies and talk of fish markets in Sunnyside.
