Richmond Hill Party Alert - Phagwah.com

Monday February 27, 2006
There's another big party weekend coming up in March -- Phagwah, the Hindu festival of color, celebrated in Richmond Hill.

But the holiday isn't the focus of its new namesake site Phagwah.com, which is all about the parties, all year round, in the Indo-Caribbean club scene in Richmond Hill. Run by a Queens College student, the site gives a flavor of the music favored -- dancehall, reggae, reggaeton, hip-hop, soca, and chutney -- and brings online those event posters plastered all over the neighborhood.

I'm looking forward to the photos they promise to post of up-coming Reggae & Soca Throw Back Night at the Parrot Nightclub (March 24, 123-07 Liberty Ave). Good luck Phagwah.com!
