I believe we’re looking at one of two stairwell entrances to the M train at Forest Avenue/Fairview Avenue. The photographer looks to across the street on Forest Avenue.
Thephoto is taken in Ridgewood, Queens. We’re looking at one of two stairwells to the M train elevated subway at the Forest Avenue stop at Fairview Avenue.
I’d have to say Annie has nailed it down to the very rivets of the subway structure. Clearly, it’s not the N or the Q line in Astoria.
