Is this from the T?
hmmm, not sure what’s that high in Queens that’s so far from the bridge.
And that’s queens blvd right? hmmm
I believe the picture was taken from a hi-rise on the north side of Queens Blvd – overlooking the UA Midway theater.
forest hills, queens blvd.
My guess is that those apartments are “The Big Six” on the left, so it may have been taken from Queens Boulevard somewhere near 65th Place.
This photo was taken from the beige apartment tower at 72nd Drive / Queens Boulevard. The view is looking west with Midway Theater and Parker Towers in the foreground. Manhattan skyline in the background.
Looks like it was taken from The Kennedy House (next-door to me)
I believe Elizabeth got the right landmarks. However, judging from the height at which the photo was taken, it was taken from a plane about to land at LaGuardia that happened to be flying over Queens Blvd. at 72nd Drive.
I took the photo from a high-rise in Forest Hills on the East Side of Queens Blvd. The transit authority eccentrically calls the “East Side” the “North Side” but at this point Queens Blvd is headed towards south Jamaica.
Let’s give this one to SteveG. Many of you recognized the general location of Queens Blvd in Forest Hills. And thanks to the photographer for clarifying!
thank you all for playing!
