I think this is shot from the Socrates Sculpture Park. The triangle is some art I guess or maybe the fence. The building is the Adirondack Direct place on Vernon and 31st Avenue.

this was the Sommer Piano factory in Astoria on Vernon Blvd. It was the Adirondak Office Furniture site. It is now under construction as condos to be known as The Piano Factory.

It is on Vernon Blvd. It was originally the Sommers Piano Factory. Then it was the Adirondak Office Furniture site. It is now under construction as condos known as The Piano Factory. It is across from Soccrates Park = near Costco on Vernon Blvd. in Astoria.

You both got it right. The shot was taken within one the sculpture at Socrates Park, of the Sommer Piano factory — all in Long Island City, close to Astoria.
