Snow for Your Monday Commute

Monday March 2, 2009
Winter is calling it a comeback. The National Weather Service predicts New York City will get a foot of snow overnight. Schools and businesses across the region were already calling it quits before midnight on Sunday.

Hundreds of flights have been canceled. Greyhound and Peter Pan bus lines have suspended trips scheduled for after midnight.

If you've got to leave the house today, try mass transit, a much better bet than driving about the many unplowed streets. Alternate-side parking has been suspended for Monday, but parking meters remain in effect.
