- Rosetta Wines at Atlas Park [Avenue Food]
"They’re hosting a elderflower liqueur tasting today for heavens sake" -- a big thumbs up for the selection and knowledgeable staff at Rosetta Wines (The Shops at Atlas Park, 8000 Cooper Ave, Glendale). I'll second the recommendation, especially for the wide aisles and wide selection of hard liquor. Sign up for the store's newsletter to keep updated on the weekly tastings. If I ran a liquor store, it would be Rosetta Wines.
- Hog Heaven at the Ridgewood Pork Store [Serious Eats]
Joe DiStefano loads up on his pork product out in our favorite border-land neighborhood Ridgewood. "Trespassers will be butchered" -- and that's a good thing -- at the Ridgewood Pork Store (516 Seneca Ave, Ridgewood, 718-381-0686).
