- The Joeys - 5 Questions [Joey in Astoria]
The Joeys spill their guts about themselves and where they eat. Shocks of mighty! The fourth Joey -- their "Charlie" as in Charlie's Angels -- makes an appearance.
- The Real-Life Restaurants in New York City from 'Grand Theft Auto 4' [Ed Levine's New York Eats]
Yes! Making their GTA4 debuts are: Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden as the "Steinway Beer Garden;" the Pepsi sign in Long Island City as the "Sprunk Cola Sign;" and Jackson Hole diner (formerly Air Line Diner) near LGA as the "69th Street Diner."
- Bonfire Grill [eateryROW: forestHILLS]
Newcomer Bonfire Grill (72-27 Austin St, Forest Hills, 718-268-0707) puts out some tasty dishes and some misses. "I like it and will return when I want comfort food. But I want Bonfire to be more than that."
- Dosas at Flushing's Ganesha Temple [Village Voice]
It's a two-stop foodie tour of Hindu temples in Flushing: dosas at the Ganesha Temple (45-57 Bowne St, Flushing, 718-460-8484) and sweets at the nearby Swaminarayan Temple (43-38 Bowne St, Flushing, 718-539-5373). If you'd rather keep your feet on secular, above-ground grounds, I recommend the Dosa Hutt (45-63 Bowne St, Flushing, 718-961-6228).
