Happy Year of the Rat! Celebrate in Queens, New York

Monday February 4, 2008
Year of Rat Stamp The Chinese New Year comes a day late to Queens this year with the annual Flushing Main Street parade scheduled for February 9. (The official Chinese or Lunar New Year starts a day earlier.) Dragon dancers and other performers and marchers will take over Flushing to usher in the Year of the Rat, lunar year 4706. The parade is a great time, and much less crowded than the one in Manhattan. Image © 2007 USPS. All Rights Reserved.
