I can’t believe that Jackson Heights getting a Starbucks is beating out the Flushing Remonstrance. What does that say about us?
It’s too sad. Starbucks may well symbloize Jackson Heights’ economic rise and development, but it conceals the gentrification happening within that community. Neither can I believe that capitalism is favord over the religious freedom and diversity.
