Did you get out to the see the marathon on Sunday? You missed a great day. The weather was fine, and the runners were out in force.
Take a look at these marathon photos, all from the vantage of Long Island City, which I think is the best place to see the race. It's lively, but not overwhelming with spectators. (Every year we see more and more people lining Vernon Boulevard.) And the local restaurants are a notch above. Most important, it's miles 14-15, a place where a tired runner really needs that boost.
