NYC Bocce Championships - September 29-30, 2007
Wednesday September 12, 2007
The 13th Annual NYC Bocce Championships will be held the last weekend in September with the borough championships played on Saturday and the city-wide champs on Sunday.
The Queens borough qualifying round is Saturday, September 29, at Juniper Valley Park in Middle Village. It's free to play. On Sunday, all the borough winners meet for a single elimination city-wide tournament also at Juniper Valley Park.
On Saturday and Sunday, keep your energy up during the tournament by eating a Sicilian slice at Rosa's Pizzeria on Metropolitan Avenue, a short walk from Juniper Valley. I like the style of sauce on top of the cheese.
