Restaurant Week in Queens

Monday September 10, 2007
Tournesol Go get your reservations. Restaurant Week in Queens is almost here.

The fourth annual restaurant week in Queens isn't just one week, but a combination menu of two: Monday, September 17, to Thursday, September 20, and then Monday September 24 to Friday the 27th.

The 85+ participating restaurants will offer a three-course meal (or the equivalent) for $20.07. Sponsored by the Queens Economic Development Corporation, it's an excellent way to showcase Queens' rising culinary stars. Definitely, $20 is a fabulous deal for eating at delicious Erawan in Bayside or Waters Edge Restaurant in Long Island City. Unfortunately, most restaurant only offer the deal for lunch, but call ahead to ask about dinner deals.

This year Restaurant Week has made it to Jackson Heights! At least the restaurants in Little India. (Next year I'm hoping to see Pio Pio at the top of the list.)

Two of the biggest names in Queens Eats are on the bill: Sripraphai and Tournesol. It'll also give you an excuse to try Deluge, the new, stylish restaurant at the Sheraton in Flushing. (And if you think Flushing is all Chinese eats, then you'll be surprised to find a chef who's more Top Chef.)

Bon appetit Queens!
