Colombian Independence Day Festival in Flushing Meadows

Hot on the heels of celebrating American independence, there's the big party for the Independence of Colombia on July 20, in Flushing Meadows Park. There'll be music, food, dance, and plenty of yellow, blue, and red Colombian flags, especially at the festival site just south of the Unisphere.
If the storms clouds clear for at least an hour, the park will be packed (the crowd may number more than 100,000) as folks spend the day barbequing and kicking it. The festival is always one of the most popular events held in Flushing Meadows, and the park is awash with Colombia's red, blue, and yellow colors.
