Bike Racing at Kissena Park Velodrome

Wednesday April 25, 2007
Bike racing at the Kissena Park Velodrome in Flushing kicks off for the season this weekend. For the rest of the summer, there will be regular weekly races on Wednesdays and Thursdays, all sponsored by the Kissena Cycling Club (which also coordinates races at Brooklyn's Floyd Bennett Field and Prospect Park.)

Never heard of Velodrome? It's a banked cycling track (for track bikes only) that lets cyclists fly. Kissena Park's Velodrome is the only one in New York City.
