Free Jazz Concerts in Forest Hills

Tuesday August 8, 2006
The Forest Hills Chamber of Commerce hosts two free outdoor jazz concerts this August. This Thursday it's the Forest Hills Pops Concert with the David Shenton Quintet. On August 24 it's A Tribute to George Gershwin with the George Gee Swing Orchestra. The concerts are in the heart of Austin Street shopping and restaurants, and just steps from my favorite local diner, UJ's Luncheonette (107-18 70th Rd), and pizzeria, Nick's Pizza (108-26 Ascan).
  • Jazz Thursdays in August
  • August 10 and 24, 2006, 5:30 to 9 p.m., free
  • 70th Rd, between Austin St and Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY

Those dates are 2006, not 2007. Try the FH Chamber of Commerce for new details.
