Summer Sundays in Travers Park - Free Concerts in Jackson Heights

Wednesday May 31, 2006
For three Sundays in June and one in September this year there are free concerts at Travers Park in Jackson Heights, sponsored by Friends of Travers Park. Kick it off this Sunday with the Swedish Cottage Marionette Players, performing "Princess, Emperor, and the Duck" for kids. (Full concert schedule below.)

Travers Park, at 34th Ave between 77th and 78th Sts, is mostly blacktop, so plan on shaking it or bringing your own chair/cushion. Travers is also the site of the Jackson Heights farmers market on Sundays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
