Latin Music Summer Concerts at Forest Park

Forest Park hosts a series of free Latin Music concerts on Sunday afternoons this summer. Enjoy, enjoy! Forest Park is a gem of a park, and the free concerts are a great excuse to pack a picnic and spend a few hours. Highlights have to be Los Tres Cerditos/The Three Little Pigs in Spanish and English for the kids, and the finale Mexican arts fest.

  • June 11, 2006, 4 p.m. - Bombazo El Zio (Puerto Rico)
  • June 18, 4 p.m. - INKHAY (Traditional music form the Andes - Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador)
  • June 25, 4 p.m. - David Oquendo and Habna Tres (Cuban)
  • July 2, 2 p.m. - Los Tres Cerditos/The Three Little Pigs (English/Spanish children's musical play by SEA)
  • July 2, 4 p.m. - The Latin Jazz Coalition (Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, Salsa)
  • July 9, 2 p.m. - Mexico Vive Arts Festival (Traditional dance, music, and arts & crafts from Mexico, presented by Calpulli Mexican Dance Company)
