Asian Culture Fests in Flushing Meadows and Rocks LIC
The Queens Theatre in the Park hosts an Asian Cultural Festival this week. The Theatre, right under the old Worlds Fair Towers in Flushing Meadows, will be the venue for dance, theater, and film, some of its free.
But the real buzzing highlight is Asian Rock Night off in Long Island City at LaGuardia Community College. It's got Johnny Hi-Fi breezing in from Taiwan; Vudoo Soul, a soul-singing Cambodian piano man; and singer-song-writer Kevin So.
