Double Your Pleasure at LIC Bar

Tuesday January 17, 2006
There's something literary about beautiful, old bars and pubs, especially ones that serve Guinness and single-malt Scotch. Maybe it's just the drunken writers rambling in the corner, but this Sunday at LIC Bar it's two local Astoria authors reading from their recent novels about twins.

Tara McCarthy's Love Will Tear Us Apart is the tale of conjoined female rock star twins, and Marcy Dermansky portrays teenage identical twins on the verge of breakdowns in the very funny Twins.

Fellow Queens resident Ron Hogan of the well-known book review site Beatrice.com hosts the readings. And you toast them with drinkings.
