Morning Glory in Flushing - Great Hello Kitty Toys and Gifts

By November 29, 2005

Follow me on:

julius Morning Glory in Flushing is all about the Hello Kitty. The business's website might say it's a fancy stationery store, but the focus is great Hello Kitty and other character-based accessories for grade-school and older girls. It's more expensive than at the nearby Flushing Mall, but the range and quality of the items (from note-pads to alarm clocks) is worth it.

Older hipsters might want to pick up a Hello Kitty toaster, or enjoy the selection of Paul Frank's Julius Monkey wallets.

Overall, Morning Glory is a cool store with wide rows, good lighting, great selection, and a friendly staff. They also sell jewelry and clothes (great "I am the American dream" t-shirts), and run a package shipping store from the same space. That's right. Buy your gifts and mail them out to your relatives in Arizona, all at the same place.

And in the back of the shop there's a photo booth for creating colorful stickers with you and your friends' faces. Ask the sales folk for help with the Chinese-language instructions.

Sadly, in February 2008, it has moved to Main Street (says the poster on its old shop) and this day: May 2008 it is not possible to find. Rumor says that it moved to main street but there was no business in that area near northern blvd. and it closed down.

The new store is very small and it sells a lot of Sanrio stuffs instead of Morning Glory. I am very disappointed as they don’t even have much selection of plush dolls. Don’t bother to make a trip there. Elizabeth Center in Chinatown would be a much better choice.
