Jackson Heights Real Estate

Monday November 7, 2005
Jackson Heights earned high kudos in this weekend's New York Times. The real estate column "the Hunt" chronicled a couple discovering the great neighborhood, searching for an apartment, and buying a co-op in Dunolly Gardens.

Jackson Heights, especially the historic district, has some of the best buildings in Queens, most pre-war and many with private gardens. It's also close to midtown by subway and has great restaurants.

Real estate prices have gone high as the neighborhood becomes more well-known. The areas north and east of the historic district are significantly cheaper, though the building are mostly post-war and lack private gardens.

Great info on Jackson Heights! Looks like the New York Times is discovering what we’ve known for a while. Buying a place in J. Heights is one of the smartest decisions I’ve made. Now if only FreshDirect would start delivering here…
