Chowhound Loves Spicy Mina

Tuesday October 25, 2005
Chowhounds, rejoice! Mina, a legendary cook beloved by the Chowhound, has opened the doors at her new restaurant, Spicy Mina in Woodside (Spicy Mina, 64-23 Broadway, Woodside, NY 11377, 718-205-2340).

Mina earned her fame running restaurants in Manhattan and Jackson Heights, and Chowhounds have long awaited her latest venture in Woodside. The fuss about her Bangladeshi cooking is the great taste and the great long wait. Mina prepares each dish from scratch, which is a huge improvement over the vats of curry prepared at most South Asian eateries. The problem is that level of care means you have to wait up to an hour for your meal to be served. Read all about Mina over at Chowhound:

NO! Mina was *not* in Jackson Heights, but in Sunnyside. We Sunnysiders were proud of her, but she done left us!

Thanks for the correction, Jeremy. Have you tried Mina’s cooking at her new location?
