Queens Rules in Village Voice Best of New York

Queens dominated the Food category in the Village Voice's Best of NYC, 2005, taking at least half the honors. Special mention must be made of "Beefiest Barbecued Brisket," awarded to Range Texas Barbecue (71-04 35th Avenue, Jackson Heights, 718-779-6948), which apparently is the heir of famed Pearson's Texas Barbecue. I hope to be eating my way through the bbq and the rest of the award-winners this winter. My only complaint is that the Voice doesn't note the restaurants' neighborhood names, as if just listing Queens was enough. See all of the Village Voice 2005 awards for Queens
