More Queens Restaurants in Zagats

Monday October 17, 2005
In addition to the praise from the Village Voice, Queens restaurants get more shout-outs from the new 2006 Zagat's restaurant guide, than ever before. Mad-good Thai restaurant Sripraphai gets the nod as one of Zagat's top-50 best restaurants in New York City. Yeah, Sripraphai! Yeah, Woodside!

Could you imagine this happening 20 years ago? Even ten years ago? An ethnic eatery in Woodside, Queens, is up there in lights with Union Square Cafe? People are overcoming the mental blocks that hold back their taste buds. Look for more Queens restaurants in next year's top-50 list.
