Walking Tour of Flushing Chinatown
Thursday September 29, 2005
Urban Geographer and long-term Flushing resident Jack Eichenbaum is super busy these days. This weekend he leads a tour of Ridgewood and Maspeth, and later in October he's in Flushing for a tour of the downtown Chinatown.
Flushing's Chinatown has surpassed Manhattan's in size, wealth, and vitality. Learn about its Taiwanese center and hectic pace of development on this walking tour. And don't miss out on lunch. I suggest dim sum at Gum Fong (136-28 39th Ave).
