Astorian Weekend Edition - September 23

What a great weekend to live in Astoria! It's my luck to fill in today for Joey your favorite Astorian (who needed a vacation from her vacation) and update you on the Octoberfest and other great events.

First things first, get out tonight and take advantage of Restaurant Week with a dinner at Lil Bistro 33. That'll have to be an early or a late dinner since the beauty queens and the 36 Chambers of Shaolin are coming to the Museum of the Moving Image at 7:30 sharp.

On Saturday move your legs on a walking tour of Old Astoria before heading to the Octoberfest at the beer garden. Yes, get that and everything else done before you go, because you'll be in the garden way after the Pilsner Brass Band goes home.

Sunday is all about recovery, and maybe a contemplative visit to the Greater NY show at P.S. 1, before you head back to the trenches on Monday.
