Jamaica Jazz Tour

Tuesday September 20, 2005
In celebration of the 90th birthday of Billie Holiday, join the Jamaica Jazz Tour, on October 15. The greater Jamaica area was home to many legends of jazz, including Billie Holiday, Count Basie, and John Coltrane. Learn the history of Jamaica's jazz musicians, and enjoy a brunch as well.

If you don't have time, check out the regular jazz tours run out of Flushing Town Hall, and definitely get to Louis Armstrong's home in Corona.

  • Jazz Tour of Jamaica
  • October 15, 2005, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; run by the Jamaica Cultural Collaborative and Jamaica Center Improvement Association
  • Begins at the Queens Borough Public Library
