Riker-Lent Homestead Tour

Thursday September 15, 2005
This weekend there's a rare chance to peek at the oldest farmhouse in Queens -- the Rick-Lent Homestead. That's Riker as in "Riker island," a long-established Dutch Colonial family. The homestead and gardens have been beautifully restored, and were featured in the PBS show "A Walk Through Queens."

The Queens Historical Society runs the tour this Sunday, September 18, 2005, at 3 p.m. Meet at the Riker-Lent Homestead (78-03 19th Road, Jackson Heights). Call for directions - 718-939-0647 x 17. $15 in advance, $20 at tour.
