Responding to Hurricane Katrina

New Orleans and the Gulf states have been devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Rescue operations are on-going and it'll take months or longer for families to regain their homes and livelihoods. The American Red Cross is on the scene with local government, the National Guard, the US Navy, and emergency response teams from around the country (including from the NYPD and FDNY).
