Independence Days in Queens

Wednesday June 22, 2005
The whole world is in Queens. The proof is the local celebration of holidays from nearly every country on the globe. For immigrants and their children these community get-togethers reunite families and bring friends from out of town for a couple days to enjoy the tastes and sounds of their homeland.

July in Queens is one of the greatest months because it starts with a day that everyone celebrates -- July 4th -- and goes on to host two more big independence day parties.
