Astorian Weekend Edition -- June 3, 2005

Friday June 3, 2005
Soooo, it's finally getting warm out. Outdoor activities, please.

This Saturday, get in touch with your adoptive Astorian roots with the Greater Astoria Historical Society's walking tour. According to them, they're "not your grandmother's historical society." I hope not. My grandmother scared the crap out of me.

Sunday, do your own little walking tour. Swing by the Foundry in LIC, meet with your realtor about reopening Luncheonette, and stroll past ARROW garden. Prepare to be blown away by my awesome tomato plants -- already fruiting. Whoa.

If those tiny tomatoes are making you hungry -- and thirsty -- stop into Sunswick to get some tasty corn chips. Load 'em up with guac and salsa, and wash 'em down with one of 24 taps.

'Til next week!

- Joey

P.S. Did you see the debut of Astorian Weekend Edition last week?
