Brilliant NYC.Gov Map Portal Consolidates Building Info

Friday December 17, 2004
New York City has a new online mapping tool that consolidates much city info based on a specific building address that you enter, including neighborhood stats, local zoning, census numbers, inspection and violation records, garbage pick-up, even elected officials.

NYC is so big with such a bureaucracy that gleaning info from multiple sections of NYC.Gov can be a headache. This map tool cuts through the clutter by centering info on you and your specific address. I wish it accessed more, but at least it's free.

If you need more real estate info on a house or building, try fee-based Radcribs, which accesses property records.
