Classical Music Concerts in Queens

Musica Reginae promotes classical music in Queens, and has two hour-long concerts planned for October.

"Strings at Twilight" features young musicians, stars in the making, and music by Dohnányi, Enesco, and Handel.
When: Sunday, October 3, at 5 p.m.
Where: Church-in-the-Gardens, 50 Ascan Avenue, Forest Hills
Cost: $12, free for children (12 and under)

For "Organ at Twilight" organist David Close will perform Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor, which was a highlight of Disney's Fantasia, plus Scott Joplin's "The Entertainer" and other works.
When: Sunday, October 24, at 5 p.m.
Where: St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 87th Street at 88th Avenue, Woodhaven
Cost: $12, free for children (12 and under)
