Johnny Ramone Dead at Age 55

Guitarist Johnny Ramone of the fabled Ramones punk band died peacefully in his sleep on September 15, following a five-year battle with cancer. The groundbreaking band came out of Forest Hills (Joey was the only true Forest Hills native), and they sang of Queens in punk beauties like "Rockaway Beach."

Im only 12 years old, but i LOVE the ramones, THEY ROCKED. I will always miss them, though i still have their music to remeber them by. I never met the ramones, but my best friends dad who was in the whiskey preists had breakfast with the ramones. So as far as im concerned, the ramones will always live on, and ROCK ON.
