MoMA in Queens: The Final Month

Monday September 6, 2004
MoMA closes up shop in Long Island City at the end of the September. MoMA Queens will be no more, and we are sad to see it go, especially after much greater attendance and acclaim than expected. (Always expect the unexpected in Queens.) The final MoMA exhibits include:
Humble Masterpieces: beautiful everyday objects
Projects 81: Jean Shin: a site-specific installation
Tall Buildings: models, drawings, and photos of skyscrapers
Lee Bontecou: A Retrospective: the American artist's sculpture and drawings
More: Directions and subway info to MoMA in Long Island City
