The Greater Astoria Historical Society is a nonprofit dedicated to preserving the history of Long Island City. The group's website presents history and photographs of Astoria, Steinway, Hunters Point, Sunnyside, Ravenswood, Ditmars, and other neighborhoods of Long Island City.
The organization also sponsors the Haunted Waters Walking Tour for the Halloween Festival at Socrates Sculpture Park. Check out the scary Queens stories told on the tour.
